Pathways to Independence
Where Every Student's Future Begins: For 14 years, William's School has been Austin's beacon of hope for families whose children face autism, ADHD, and developmental disabilities. We're not just a school - we're a launchpad for independence. Our students are growing up. The toddlers who started with us are now young adults ready to take on the world. But here's the challenge: while only 16% of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities find meaningful employment, our students are beating those odds.
The William's School Difference
No Exclusions. No Limits. Just Possibilities.
We're Austin's only accredited nonprofit school serving students ages 2-22 with intensive behavioral and communication challenges. Our secret? Believing in every child's potential and backing that belief with:
- 4:1 to 6:1 student-teacher ratios that ensure every student gets the attention they deserve
- Wrap-around therapeutic services including speech, occupational, and behavioral therapy
- Real-world learning where students practice life skills in our community
- Workforce development that connects students to actual employment opportunities
From Classroom to Career
Meet A who's learning to grill (and nobody else is allowed to touch the grill!), managing money, and preparing for his family's business while exploring other career paths.
We aspire for our graduates to work in local businesses, further their learning, live independently - proving that with the right support, anything is possible.
Your Impact in Action
When you support William's School, you're investing in:
